Stoke on Trent has long been renowned for its pottery, and this designer carries that banner emphatically. Emma Bridgewater formed her company in 1985, after realising that the gift she wanted to buy for her mum – a special cup and saucer – did not exist. Necessity, as it so often does, proved the mother of invention; Emma realised then that there was a gap in the market for the sort of pottery she was after – colourful pottery for colourful people.
You can find this philosophy evidenced hugely in these pages, in which you'll find a range of hand-crafted earthenware, including mugs, teapots and cups, as well as more curious and unique items like candles. If you're looking for value, we also offer sets of matching items – perfect for completing any kitchen set.
And so, if you know someone whose kitchen looks a little bland, then you're sure to find just the thing to add some colour after just a few moments spent browsing these pages – whether you’re after polka dots, love hearts or intricately-painted birds, we have something which will inspire. All of the items here are microwave-safe, making them as practical as they are beautiful. So what are you waiting for? Take a look right now!
