Ulster Weavers Home Fashions is textiles manufacturer based (as you might have surmised) in Northern Ireland. The company was founded in 1880, and played a huge part in establishing Ulster as a global powerhouse of linen production.
You'll find that history greatly in evidence on these pages – as well as some more contemporary influences. We have tea towels featuring birds and their songs – designed by the much-loved painter Madeline Floyd – alongside peg bags, each charmingly modelled after either a happy dog, a friendly owl or a cheery sheep. You’ll also find a variety of practical household items, from tea cosies to oven gloves to aprons to PVC bags. Each item, suffice to say, is of the utmost quality.
And you don't just have to take our word for it. For centuries, royal warrants of appointment have been issued by monarchs across Europe, including those of the United Kingdom. These warrants are issued to certify that a company's goods are used by the royal household. In 1995, Ulster Weavers was bestowed such a warrant by the house of Windsor. As such, the items you'll find on these pages have been deemed literally fit for the Queen. Could we provide any endorsement to match that? So what are you waiting for? Take a look and see what the royal fuss is all about!
